I had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures for the Shawcroft wedding. It was beautiful and fun. The entire family is so unbelievably kind! I had so much fun!
I woke up Sunday morning with the worst attitude. I did not want to go to church and I was sad. I was sad because I felt like my life is not anywhere near where I ever imagined it would be right now. I was sad because I miss my friends that are out on missions and I feel like two years in an eternity. I was sad because I feel like I am never going to get passed the end of this semester. I got myself to church and after tearful testimony meeting I really wanted to go home and change into sweats and have a good cry, but I also didn't want to leave Kanani to stay through the rest of church alone. I stayed and Kanani and I took our seats in Sunday School. As Dan began the lesson he announced that he had two tickets for the Christmas Devotional that night that he wasn't going to use. Sure enough Kanani raised her hand and asked for the tickets. I came home from church to work on as much homework as possible before we headed up to the Conference Center. In the middle of the program I just had a huge wave of comfort come over me. I felt that although my life wasn't exactly how I wanted it to be now, I was one my way there and it was going to be ok. I am so blessed in my life with so many things! I have great friends and a beyond wonderful family! I know the Lord knew I needed to be at the devotional and that I things needed to fall in place for me to be there. I am going to get through finals and I am not alone. I am going to be ok if I turn to the Lord for help and comfort! I am so lucky and blessed!
This couple is so completely in love! They are beyond beautiful and such a joy to photograph! Just by watching them you can see they are everything to each other! I had so much fun!
For Thanksgiving this year, my parents and alicia and I took a mini trip up to Idaho to visit my sister Jen and my brother-in-law Nick. It was so nice to just relax and take our time in everything we did. No one was stressed the entire time and it was so nice. We even taught my parents how to play guitar hero, have no fear, they are now addicted, well my mom is as least. Dinner was delicious and it was such a blessing to spend a wonderful few days just focusing on family.
The baby of our family, Alicia, dances on the Southern Utah University Ballroom Company. The Company had their winter concert last weekend so few of our family members drove down to see the show and got to dinner together. It was way fun and she is having such a blast down there! I also got to visit with friends I haven't seen in a really long time! I loved it!
Well it was my brother's birthday on the 17th, my mom's birthday on the 20th and my dad's birthday on the 24th! Thanksgiving goes perfect with all the birthdays! This month has flown by with everything that has been going on! Happy Birthday family!
I had a Christmas shoot the other day and it was so much fun! I love the people I get to be around! We had so much fun decorating the places we went. It was good practice for me to be creative with a new setting.
Ok, after a few people gave me some sound advice, I realized I was so excited to have a bridal session that I didn't take the necessary time to really edit my pictures. As a result of my quick editing, my pictures didn't look as vibrant and colorful! It is amazing what the correct editing can do to a picture! I hope these are better examples of my work. Thank you for giving me feedback, I need all the help I can get.
I love photography with all my heart, I want you to love it with me!
I love comments but please remember the wonderful words from Thumper "If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all."
